We are responsible for overseeing student registration and test administration.
Competition Overview
The Lynx Mathematics Competition is an international math competition that challenges students around the world to demonstrate their creative and logical problem-solving skills.
This year's competition is hosted by the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) at the University of Waterloo, with students from multiple countries participating simultaneously.

Canada and the Americas: Thursday, October 2, 2025
Other Regions: Friday, October 3, 2025

3. How to Take the Exam
Participants may choose between a paper-based or online format.
Online Exam
Students will solve problems using a computer or tablet in a classroom setting under teacher supervision. Answers are entered directly on the screen.
Paper-Based Exam (PDF)
On the test day, students will receive printed test and answer sheets. After completing the exam, their responses must be scanned and submitted for grading.
