The class activities include debates, forums, media studies (news articles, videos, talk shows, and interviews), oral presentations, problem solving activities, and more. Students will work together to converse and share ideas. The teachers of the ELL program are certified and experienced and will encourage students to develop their English writing and speaking skills. Students will see a drastic improvement in their vocabulary and feel more confident in school.

READING & WRITING (GR. 3 - GR. 12)

The Reading and Writing courses include novel reading, comprehension, creative writing, academic writing, vocabulary practice, and grammar practice. Whether you are struggling to keep up in English class, or want to get ahead of the novel study in a higher grade, this course will prepare you to feel confident and ready for the school year.

ACADEMIC WRITING (GR. 9 - GR. 12)

The Academic Writing program focuses on essay writing using the correct format, grammar, sentence structure, and advanced vocabulary. The teachers at World Vision Academy will provide helpful feedback, editing, and plenty of practice so that students constantly improve. Writing requires practice, which is why this class requires students to write an essay(s) every week. Students will gain experience in peer editing in order to become independent writers themselves. Students at World Vision Academy develop advanced writing skills in order to excel in their academic studies.
